Drake Claims He Won $1 Million in Stake Bet
He posted the proof on his Instagram Story.
Drake says he won over a million dollars by betting on an NBA playoff game. The superstar posted the proof of his winnings on his Instagram Story.
The bet, as is his pattern, was made on Stake, the online cryptocurrency casino Drizzy gets paid $100 million a year to endorse, per a 2023 report from the Financial Times, which cited "two people familiar with the details."
His seven-figure haul came from betting on the Minnesota Timberwolves to triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday (April 25). In Drake's first post about the bet, he screenshotted his betslip with the caption "Lemme see sum Ant," referring to Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards.
In a second post, Drake shared his $1,026,871.42 payout after Edwards did, in fact, let him see sum by scoring 29 points while leading his team to a 116-104 victory.
That’s a pretty big prize, but Drake’s no stranger to winning large sums of money from gambling. He revealed a few months ago that he won a $40 million jackpot from gambling while at, of all places, a Dave & Buster’s. In a video advertisement for Stake where he answered different betting questions, Drake recalled what happened.
“The biggest win I ever had, I was in Dave & Buster's," he said. "I was getting this random girl to call roulette numbers for me. I hit like eight out of 10 numbers, and I think by the end of the night, we had won like 38 million? 40 million? Yeah, $40 million. It's crazy, the craziest night ever gambling for sure. January of 2024, it was crazy. That's not even the word for it."
Drake’s been an official partner of Stake since 2022. Back then, the gambling platform’s co-founder, Ed Craven, expressed his excitement for the partnership in a statement to SBC Americas.
“Drake has been an active member of our global community for a few months now, so the next step and natural evolution in the relationship was for us to collaborate on a stream,” Craven said.
“We share the same love for crypto, gambling and community and are like-minded fans of the technology and culture at the forefront of this movement,” he added.
Back in March, Drizzy joked that he posted a Stake ad so he could receive a $2 million credit to gamble with.
“MEMBERS WE ARE DOWN BAD ON STAKE SO I AM POSTING THIS SOLELY FOR 2 MILLION DOLLARS CREDIT TO SPIN SLOTS…PLS KEEP SCROLLING,” he wrote in the caption.
Earlier this month, Drake joined Adin Ross for his first gambling stream of 2025 called “Stake vs Drake & Adin.” On the stream, the duo gave out $1 million in prizes for viewers.
