Kyrie Irving Says He Wants to Join Faze Clan, Group Posts Image of Him in Their Uniform

Kyrie Irving wants to join FaZe Clan — and the group responded in the best way possible.

During one of his streams, Irving was on the phone with one of FaZe’s members when he sheepishly inquired about joining the group. “I was wondering if y’all are taking applications,” the star NBA point guard for the Dallas Mavericks said. “I don’t really know how that shit really goes, bro.”

The person on the other end of the line seemingly responded positively. Later after that clip hit social media, FaZe’s official X account posted an image of Irving suited up in a uniform. Is he an official member? No one knows yet. But still, that’s a cool way to cosign him potentially joining.

During the same stream, Irving chastised those who ridicule his close friend, Karl-Anthony Towns, specifically for “changing up his tone.”

“Y’all gotta stop making fun of my brother KAT. I’m done with y’all,” Irving said.

“Stop making fun of my brother KAT. It’s over for that, it’s a fuckking wrap, I’m letting you know that if you repost that shit again or meme him up, I’m attacking you. Not like that physically, GTA, but I’m attacking you.”

Irving then brought up their shared upbringing in New Jersey as to why people should back off of him.

“Y’all gotta leave KAT alone because y’all don’t know what it’s like to grow up in Jersey and have all of these cultures that you’re a part of, trust me on that,” said Irving. “Jersey is literally 130 miles long, it’s (a) very, very small state … but leave him alone.”

“Because he’s Dominican, he’s black, he grew up in a certain area in Jersey, just like me, and you gotta survive out here,” Irving continued. “You got many different demographics of people, so you gotta survive out here. I don’t agree all the time when he be changing up his tone sometimes, I don’t always agree and all that shit, that shit be funny, but on a serious note, he is a man, he is my brother and I protect him all the time.”
