The internet can’t get over the fact that Larry David was near Stephen A. Smith when LeBron James confronted him at a recent Los Angeles Lakers game.

David, who created Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, was sitting courtside at the Lakers’ game against the New York Knicks when James confronted Smith about how the latter covered Bronny via sports commentary.

Knowing that David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm show features an episode where he accidentally trips Shaquille O’Neal, fans of the program hopped online to express how hilarious the situation would have been if David could have turned James’ fury into a plot line.

Check out some of the best reactions below.

Earlier today, Smith addressed James “unexpectedly” approaching him. "That was LeBron James, coming up to me... to confront me about making sure I made what I say about his son," he said. "Can't repeat the words, because they ain't suited for FCC airwaves. That's what he was doing."

Smith then explained that he didn’t want to initially address the moment (which Kevin Love found to be hard to believe), but decided to once it made its way around the internet.  "It was a one-on-one confrontation," he explained. "That wasn't a basketball player confronting me, that was a parent, that was a father. And I can't sit here and be angry, or feel slighted by LeBron James in anyway in that regard. ... He clearly took exception to some of the things that he heard me say and he confronted me about it."

Earlier this year, Smith was harsh on Bronny by suggesting that he was getting too many minutes on the court because of James.

"I am pleading with LeBron James as a father. Stop this," Smith said. "Stop this. We all know that Bronny James is in the NBA because of his dad. The first game of the season, opening night, the Griffeys are in attendance. Father-son duo playing in an NBA game for the first time and absolutely, positively, wonderful story. And then reality sets in."

"I am rooting for Bronny James. It would be cruel to root against him," he continued. "He's a wonderful kid, I wish him nothing but the best. But he's LeBron James' son and everybody knows what attention that brings."
