LaVar Ball Says He'll Beat Michael Jordan One-on-One in Basketball With One Foot

LaVar's trash talk comes not long after his right foot was amputated following a medical emergency earlier this month.

LaVar Ball has doubled down on the claim that he could beat Michael Jordan in a 1-on-1 basketball game — even if he’s missing a foot.

Ball hopped on TikTok to address his past declaration about beating MJ on the court. “People been saying I still can’t beat Michael Jordan 1-on-1, especially without my foot,” said the 57-year-old. “Well guess what? If I really wanted to, I could give him 70."

Ball closed out his brief clip by plugging his son Gelo’s viral track “Tweaker,” saying: “I might swerve, bend that corner, woahhh,” as the song itself played.

Since 2017, Ball has been adamant that he can beat Jordan on the court. “Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one," he said in an interview with USA TODAY Sports. “I would just back [Jordan] in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left.”

“He cannot stop me one-on-one,” Ball continued. “He better make every shot because he can’t go around me. He’s not fast enough. And he can only make so many shots outside before I make every bucket under the rim.’’

It didn’t take Jordan long to respond to Ball’s comments, saying during a Q&A at a basketball camp soon after: "He played, I think, some college maybe. He averaged 2.2 points a game. Really? It doesn't [deserve] an answer, but I'm going to give it to you because you asked me the question: I don't think he could beat me if I was one-legged."

Last week, Ball had his right foot amputated after suffering a serious medical issue. The cause of the surgery wasn’t clear, but he appears to have recovered quickly afterward. A short time later, he recorded a Cameo for a fan and even made a joke about his foot being removed.
