Patrick Mahomes Celebrates Wife After Giving Birth to Third Child
"It's been cool to welcome another baby girl into our family and see how our other kids react to her and having baby sissy and stuff like that."
Patrick Mahomes has given his wife, Brittany, props for how she handled having her third child.
Mahomes and Brittany celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Golden Ray Mahomes, a couple of days ago. The three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback recently spoke with the media about what it’s like to have a new daughter in the family.
"It's been cool to welcome another baby girl into our family and see how our other kids react to her and having baby sissy and stuff like that," he said.
Mahomes also shared that his wife was “kind enough” to let him watch some NFL playoff games on the hospital TV. He was excited to be able to witness the birth because his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, has a first-round bye. "It's a special moment that a lot of dads and moms have experienced, and you don't forget about that stuff," explained Mahomes.
As for if they’ll have more kids in the future, Mahomes doesn’t want to right now — but he doesn’t know if they’ll change their minds in the future. "We'll see down the line," he said. "My goal was always three. So we had three, and we'll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on."
Last July, Mahomes and Brittany announced that they were adding a new member to their family with a joint reel on their Instagram pages. The reel depicted their two children, Sterling and Bronze, accompanied by a new baby’s sonogram.
"Round three, here we come 🤍," the couple captioned the post before Brittany shared one on Saturday highlighting more photos from the shoot. "Family of 5 coming soon🥹 blessings on blessings🙏🏻🤍."
In a 2022 interview with Logan Paul, Mahomes called his wife his “best friend” and explained how grateful he is to have her in his life. "I think people don't even realize how much she does," said Mahomes. "Taking care of the day-to-day stuff and making it so where I can focus on football, focus on my craft and everything like that. It makes things a lot easier ... when you get to come home and your best friend's there."
"You can just hang out,” he added. “It makes you want to be there all the time and so, she pushes me to be great and she's done a lot of great things herself."
