Paul Pierce wants the New York Knicks to know that he believes the Indiana Pacers are about to decimate them in the NBA playoffs.

The Boston Celtics legend issued a message to Knicks fans in the wake of their victory over his team. With a red cup in his hand, Pierce turned into the biggest hater in the world to anyone supporting the blue and orange squad.

"Pacers gonna pop y’all," Pierce said, after imitating the excitement of Knicks fans. "Y’all know that, right? Y’all know that the Pacers are going to get y’all."

Pierce then explained why he thought that the Pacers would beat the brakes off the Knicks — and it involves one of the Celtics' star players not being able to suit up. "Y’all beat an injured Celtics team," Pierce alleged. “We didn’t have our NBA player first team, MVP candidate who led us in all these categories."

Celtics forward Jayson Tatum ruptured his right Achilles tendon in Game 4 of the Celtics and Knicks playoff series when he lunged for the ball with 2:58 seconds left. He underwent surgery for the injury soon after.

The Knicks would go on to win the series after destroying the injured team 119-81 in Game 6. Speaking about their loss after the game, star Celtics guard Jaylen Brown revealed that it feels “weird” to wrap up their season in May.

"Things didn’t go our way this year, and it’s unfortunate," he said. "But we hold our heads up regardless. Losing to the Knicks feels like death. But I was always taught that there's life after death, so we’ll get ready for whatever’s next in the journey."

Celtics coach Joe Mazzula also reflected on taking the L, but instead of blaming the team, he gave a shout-out to the Knicks. "We ran into a great team," he said. "You have to tip your hat off to the Knicks. They outplayed us. They played better."
