Vans and Carpet Company Reunite for Skate Old Skool 36+
The collaboration is inspired by the iteration of the Old Skool, which debuted in 1977.
Vans and Carpet Company have reunited to offer a fresh take on the Old Skool design.
Inspired by the original 1977 iteration of the Old Skool, the Skate Old Skool 36+ combines the evergreen style of Vans' most iconic shoes with modern sensibilities. Featuring single-wrap foxing, a padded tongue, and metal eyelets, the collaboration boasts the timeless look of the OG Style 36 with all the comfort of modern Vans footwear.
The Skate Old Skool 36+ is limited to just 1,977 pairs, in reference to the year the original shoes debuted, and each pair is individually numbered. It also features the original yellow and black colorway of the very first Old Skool, but with higher-quality materials. The piece is complimented by the Vans and Carpet Company collaboration from last year.
The Skate Old Skool 36+ will be available at select skate shops starting Thursday, January 9. Check out more pictures of the shoes by photographer Kat Njmeddin below alongside product shots of the broader collection.
