A-COLD-WALL*'s Factory-Inspired Fall/Winter 2015 Collection Blurs the Line Between Streetwear and Fashion
A-COLD-WALL debuts its Fall/Winter 2015 collection.
A-COLD-WALL* continues to impress with a revised collection for Fall/Winter 2015 titled Zero Hours. The relatively new brand is carving out a lane for itself in the area between streetwear and fashion and just recently unveiled a capsule collection with massive British department store Harvey Nichols.
Samuel Ross' brand typically looks to workwear for inspiration, and for this season A-COLD-WALL* is influenced directly by British factories. This is reflected not only in the type of garments offered in the collections, such as aprons and substantial ponchos, but also the way they are designed. The text and graphics find themselves haphazardly printed across the pieces, sometimes broken up or hidden by splattered oil and paint.
This contrast of gritty workwear and luxury also comes out in the accessories, specifically a soft cashmere scarf that is printed with vinyl, a material that is the opposite of soft and luxury.
