Someone Bought Harrison Ford's Han Solo Jacket for Six Figures
A jacket Harrison Ford wore in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has been auctioned off for $191,000.
Congratulations to the person who dropped nearly $200,000 on a Han Solo leather jacket. Not only do you own an iconic piece of film memorabilia, but you helped out a couple of causes that are near and dear to Harrison Ford.
According to TMZ, the custom-made bomber was worn by Ford’s Han Solo character in the 2015 blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The item was sold through the online auction site IfOnly for $191,000, with all proceeds benefiting the NYU Langone Medical Center and the FACES foundation; the latter is an organization that's dedicated to finding a cure for epilepsy, a disorder that Ford’s 25-year-old daughter has been battling.
And for added value, the jacket was also autographed by the actor and came with a certificate of authenticity provided by Lucas Films. You can check it out below.
