Man Tans Himself in Louis Vuitton Logos, Calls It a 'Skin Pattern Tutorial'

A musician named Rich Fortuna has gone viral after donning what he’s called a “skin pattern.”

Last weekend, Fortuna took to Instagram to show people placing stickers shaped like the Louis Vuitton monogram on his body, and then he revealed what happened after he became tan.

“Louis Vuitton skin pattern tutorial,” he wrote.

When the stickers were removed, they were his original skin tone, while the rest of his skin was darker.

The video also shows Fortuna wearing his “skin pattern” in public. In one scene, he’s shirtless, in another, he’s wearing a coat and a hat while walking outside, and in a third, he’s fully dressed in a store.

The IG reel went viral; as of this writing, it’s garnered over 1.8 million views. He also soundtracked the clip with his song “Missiles.”

Another reel he posted this week shows the same "skin pattern" effect, though he used an animal print in lieu of the Louis Vuitton logo. The second video has far fewer views.

In his IG bio, he promised another video, writing, “New Skin Unlock at 10k.” He also shared that he's writing a song every day until he "makes a hit," and is on day 75 of that process as of Friday (August 8). Fortuna currently has around 1,800 followers on Instagram.
