Mercer Labs to Launch 'Maestros and the Machines' Exhibition

Mercer Labs, Museum of Art and Technology, has unveiled its new exhibition, which will reimagine the work of some of the greatest artists of all time through the lens of modern technology.

Kicking off on April 24, the exhibition is titled Maestros and the Machines and will explore what the art of some of the greatest artists ever, such as Mozart and Leonardo Da Vinci, would look like were they able to create their work with the tools of today. Directed by artist Roy Nachum, the exhibit asks the question: "What happens when the timeless mastery of iconic artists meets the disruptive power of modern technology?"

"Art has always been alive, ever-evolving, and constantly shaped by new tools and perspectives," said Nachum. "In Maestros and the Machines, we ask: What would these masters have made if they were alive today, equipped with the technology we now have? This exhibition is a conversation between the past and the future, where technology amplifies creativity and reveals new dimensions of what art can be."

In the past, Mercer Labs has collaborated with artists and creators such as Alicia Keys, Tribeca Film Festival, and Dua Lipa.

The interactive exhibit will feature sound design work from Timbaland alongside contributions from Bang & Olufsen, USM, and Teenage Engineering. Check out a video of what to expect when it opens next month above, and take a look at some picture previews below.
