As anticipated, Pharrell Williams wore a look that shined at the 2025 Met Gala.

While on the carpet with his wife, Helen Lasichanh, Williams wore a one-of-a-kind tailored pearl-encrusted blazer that has an impressive design backstory. According to GQ, the jacket was stitched with 15,000 pearls and crafted in-house by Louis Vuitton artisans, taking 400 hours to make.

To complete the look, the legendary rapper-producer and Louis Vuitton men's creative designer wore black sunglasses, simple black tie and crisp white shirt, black flared pants and surprisingly, a gold grill that doubled as something more.

"I used my Invisalign trays and got them done in gold," Williams told Essence on the blue carpet.

Williams also spoke to Extra TV about his reason for wearing the pearlescent jacket.

"It's a part of the American heritage," he told the outlet. "It's an opportunity to be creative. That's the American thing. We're able to tell our story, and so, when you think about the craftsmanship the pearl pinstripes is just icing on the cake. It's just letting you know like, this is America and you can do and be anything that you want to be. It's a beautiful story."

As co-chair of the night along with ASAP Rocky, Colman Domingo and Lewis Hamilton, Williams also curated custom LV looks for guests like Sabrina Carpenter, Future and Doechii.
