Pablo Escobar was once one of the most powerful and ruthless drug lord on the planet. Nearly 20 years since El Padrone was shot and killed in a shootout with Colombian law officials, a portion of his property remains abandoned and is slowly being reclaimed by the local government. Photographer Stefaan Beernaert recently traveled to a private island formally owned by Escobar to explore this uninhabited estate. Hit the thumbs for a detailed look at the grounds once held by the world's most notorious, cold-blooded, narcoterrorist.
