Colorado-based artist and graphic designer Ryan Putnamhas captured the essence of some of the world’s most beloved movie characters in his project “Collection Series.” Via a carefully selected assortment of clothing and props assembled in an orderly grid, the artist’s quirky illustrations relay iconic characters from classic films like Ghostbusters and Back to the Future. Each drawing features bold lines, bright hues, and pixilated details, and his minimalistic approach does almost nothing in the way of mitigating the nostalgia such themes evoke.
