Video: Pharrell Saves The Planet With A Textile Made Out Of Recycled Plastic Bottles

There’s a new way to get rid of those old plastic bottles without torching them and burning a hole in the ozone layer. Bionic Yarn—a textile company founded by Tyson Toussant—is melting down old plastic trash to make a new textile thread similar to polyester. Pharrell has co-signed and is on board to promote the new material. Brands including GAP, Moncler, and Topshop have already implemented the yarn into their clothing, so you might be looking at the new wave thread of the future.
