YouTuber Charged With Double Murder After Killing Rival Streamer on Las Vegas Strip
Sin City Manny allegedly opened fire on rival streamers, Finny Da Legend and his wife, Bubbly.
A feud between YouTubers led to a double homicide on the Las Vegas Strip.
The New York Post reports that YouTubers Finny Da Legend and his wife Bubbly—real names Rodney and Tanisha Finley—were fatally shot by a rival streamer, Sin City Manny, real name Manuel Ruiz.
On Sunday (June 8), Ruiz opened fire on the couple outside the Bellagio while the Finleys were streaming live. Ruiz has since been charged with double murder.
It seems the Finleys had been beefing with Ruiz for two years after he pepper-sprayed Tanisha; it’s unclear what led to that event. Their bitterness toward each other escalated online.
“This was brewing, this brewed for two years,” Derek Ware, a friend of the Finleys, told Fox 5.
“[Rodney’s] wife said she was OK, so he was just like, ‘OK, let’s handle this another way. [Rodney] controls his emotions very well. That’s what I liked about him the most,” Ware added.
A video of the shooting has made the rounds online, which shows a man approach the Finleys and open fire on Rodney before targeting Tanisha. Surveillance footage from a casino showed the suspect fleeing the scene and running into a valet area, where he tossed his hat and T-shirt. The following day, Ruiz turned himself in.
He told officers he saw Rodney reach in his waistband and say, “What up cuz?” leading Ruiz to believe Rodney had a gun. Ruiz said that after shooting the husband, he saw Tanisha with a “shiny black object in her hand,” which he apparently thought was a firearm.
Police didn’t uncover any guns near the Finleys, and no weapons were visible in the video.
