Trevor Jackson referenced Huda Mustafa, one of Love Island USA’s most talked-about contestants, in a new remix of Kehlani’s “Folded.”

On Tuesday (July 8), the singer shared a video to his Instagram of the “Tmix” with his own original lyrics over Kehlani’s latest single.

“I don’t wanna live in the ‘coulda, woulda, shouldas,” Jackson sings in the clip. “You are crazier than Huda, but I don’t care.”

As explained by People, Mustafa, a 24-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, became one of the more polarizing figures on this season of the reality dating show. She faced scrutiny for her early coupling with fellow contestant Jeremiah Brown and her hesitation to explore other romantic connections in the villa.

Viewers of the series voted to recouple Jeremiah with bombshell Iris Kendell in the June 15 episode, which left Mustafa stunned and inspired a wave of commentary online.

Mustafa’s ex-boyfriend, Noah Sheline—who shares a 4-year-old daughter, Arleigh, with her—recently addressed the backlash on his TikTok.

“At the end of the day I hope everyone remembers we’re human,” he wrote on his TikTok Story, per People. “Her going on that show to find love, or whatever you think it was she’s doing, remember she’s still human, she has a daughter, and a life.”

He added: “She’s maybe not doing a great job idk I don’t watch the show but I don’t like that I’m seeing so much negative shit on my page or even clips of it about her.”
