Diddy Plans Madison Square Garden Comeback Performance After Jail Release, Lawyer Says
The disgraced mogul has been denied bail again as he awaits sentencing on Oct. 3 for two prostitution-related charges.
Sean "Diddy" Combs is planning a comeback performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City once he's released from jail.
During a snippet of a new interview with Jericka Duncan on CBS Mornings—his first since the highly publicized trial—Diddy's lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, explained that his client is looking forward to seeing his family after being locked up for almost a year. Agnifilo also revealed that Diddy plans to return to the stage once he’s freed.
"He's going to be back at Madison Square Garden," Agnifilo said in the clip when asked if Diddy wants to get back into music. "And I said 'I'll be there.'"
Elsewhere in the interview, Agnifilo was asked what Diddy wants people to know. "He wants people to know that he has reflected on the blessings that he's been given," he said. "On the imperfections that I think he sees in himself. I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother."
Earlier this week, Diddy was denied bail for a second time as he awaits sentencing on Oct. 3 for two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution. He had proposed a $50 million bond, which was rejected by Judge Arun Subramanian, who sided with prosecutors.
"As for risk of flight or danger, Combs fails to meet his burden by clear and convincing evidence for the reasons set forth on the record at the July 2, 2025, hearing," reads the court docs. "Increasing the amount of the bond or devising additional conditions doesn’t change the calculus given the circumstances and heavy burden of proof that Combs bears."
In a motion filed on July 29, Diddy's defense argued that the disgraced mogul is the only person in the country who has been jailed for conduct related to consensual sex under the Mann Act.
A bail package, including the $50 million bond secured by his Florida estate as well as strict supervision and travel restrictions with electronic monitoring, was offered up by Diddy’s team.
Diddy was arrested in New York City by federal agents on September 16, 2024.
