Kendrick Lamar and SZA Share Karena Evans-Directed Music Video for 'GNX' Track "Luther"
The music video for Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "Luther," which was directed by Karena Evans, is out now.
Kendrick Lamar has unleashed the video for the SZA collab "Luther."
Directed by Karena Evans, the video for the GNX highlight sees the two artists and their respective romantic partners in moments of contemplation. The clip ends with Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn's cover of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "If This World Were Mine," which is sampled in the song.
The video for "Luther" is the second we've gotten from Kendrick's GNX, which surprise-dropped last November following a landmark year for the rapper. He shared the Calmatic-directed video for "Squabble Up" later that same month, which offered fans a lot to dig into in terms of symbolism and references.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA's highly anticipated Grand National Tour will kick off later this month, starting with a show in Minneapolis on April 19 and concluding on June 18 in Washington, DC. Before their tour, SZA dropped by for a guest performance during K Dot's Super Bowl Halftime Show, during which they did "Luther."
