Master P’s son and two fellow students were apprehended for allegedly stealing refrigerators from their school, Southern Utah University.
KTVX-TV reports that P’s son, Hercy Miller, and his friends, Brock Felder, and Peter Dadson Jr. were arrested for one count of theft on Nov. 27. The trio plays for the SUU Thunderbirds basketball team.
According to arrest documents, the three men stole two fridges from the loading dock of their school’s campus bookstore. Together, the appliances are worth $3,000. Footage shows the athletes hauling the fridges into their cars on Nov. 11. Police later saw one of the appliances in an apartment shared by two of the men, and the second fridge inside the third man’s garage.
Dadson Jr. and Miller told police they took the refrigerators because they thought they were being tossed, explaining that the appliances were sitting on the Cedar City, Utah school’s loading dock for “almost a month.” Felder told police that while he helped his teammates, the alleged crime wasn’t his idea but one of the other suspects.
“[Dadson Jr.] said that he believed they were being thrown away and that it was OK to take them,” the documents said.
The three men were taken to a local jail and were later released on Nov. 28. Their basketball head coach, Rob Jeter told TMZ that the incident was a mix-up and "the university is working to get this thing resolved quickly."
Miller recently transferred to SUU from Louisville and is playing his first season at the Utah school. All three played in their school’s Dec. 3 game, winning 90-55 against Park University Gilbert.
