Mathew Knowles on Ye Attacking Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s Twins: 'People Pay a Price for Being Stupid'
Ye recently called Bey and Hov's seven-year-old twins the R-word on X.
Mathew Knowles has responded to Ye’s recent comments about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s kids.
Knowles spoke with TMZ, telling the outlet, "People pay a price for being stupid, especially in the music industry."
Many believe that Ye’s mental health issues are leading to his social media outbursts, which Knowles addressed as well. "I'm hopeful Kanye gets the type of help he needs, in terms of mental health,” he said.
Ye commented on Bey and Hov’s seven-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, in a pair of since-deleted tweets. Ye hopped on X, writing, “Wait, has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger kids?” before using the R-word to describe the children. When he first removed the posts, Ye said he did so “not because I’m a good person” but because he didn’t want to get kicked off the platform.
Tina Knowles also appeared to respond to Ye earlier this week, though not directly. She took to IG to share a video of her telling a “corny joke” during a photo shoot for her book, Matriarch. “What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum?” she asked. “He has a meltdown. Y’all know that’s funny.”
Her caption took on a more serious note: “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil. But I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper. This battle is not mine, but the Lord’s. I know that God has got this.”
Ye has been crashing out on X for days, aiming Playboi Carti, Tyler, the Creator, Kendrick Lamar, and more. The Donda Rapper also recently called himself a Nazi and expressed his “love” for Hitler, then backtracked the statement days later.
