Young Thug Says Rappers Who Are Rats Should Just 'Go Gospel'
It's unclear who Thugger is referring to in his tweet.
Young Thug detests rats.
On Monday (July 7), the Barter 6 rapper took to X, writing, “If u a rapper and u a rat, u just gotta go gospel twin.”
It’s unclear exactly who the recently freed emcee is referring to, though perhaps we have an idea. In April, Thugger dropped off the Future-featuring song, “Money on Money,” in which Thug references people getting chatty with the authorities. Of course, many thought he was nodding to Gunna.
“These fuck n***as tellin’ for nothin’, and I gotta be the one callin’ ‘em friends,” Thugger says on “Money on Money,” later rapping, “Brother, you a rat (My brother),” followed by “Twin, you a rat, you smoked, uh.”
Around the same time as the song’s arrival, he commented on his and Gunna's relationship with GQ when asked about its status. "Yeah, I know. Everybody wondering that." Thug responded, laughing. “I don't know."
Gunna has maintained his distance from YSL. In May, the “Drip Too Hard” rapper reportedly covered up his YSL tattoo. The news prompted a response from Thug, who hopped in Our Generation Music’s Instagram comments, writing, “I mean.. he said it must end lol.”
