Ciara wishes she had the opportunity to meet Russell Wilson's late father, Harrison Wilson III, who died in 2010.

Ahead of the release of her eighth album, CiCi, the R&B singer had her "last meal" on webseries Mythical Kitchen. Around the 35-minute mark of the video below, host Josh Scherer asked Ciara about which person "dead or alive" she'd want to share her last meal with.

The question made Ciara surprisingly emotional and she chose her husband's father. Harrison Wilson, who was a lawyer, died six years after she and Wilson got married.

"I was not planning to cry," Ciara told Scherer. "I'm so sorry. No, it's okay. You left me tissue."

In explaining why she wanted to meet Wilson's father, Ciara explained, "I just wanna know the man behind that man."

Ciara apologized again and joked that she should eat a cookie to bring her "smiles."

Although Ciara wasn't able to meet her father-in-law, the singer noticed Wilson's paternal side when they first began dating. The couple now share three children, while she welcomed her eldest child, Future Zahir Wilburn, with rapper Future in 2014.

"We were all in the house together. My dad was in the living room, Future was crawling on the floor, and there was a silver chair in the kitchen, and it was about to fall," Ciara recalled on The Kelly Clarkson Show last October.

"[Wilson] legit slid across that kitchen, so smooth, and caught that chair, and I was like, ‘Oh, okay,'" Ciara continued. "I mean, it was pretty sexy, but it was pretty cute."
