Drake Calls DDG 'Too Real,' Says They 'Bonded' After Playing Basketball Together
DDG recalled losing to his "favorite artist" Drake in basketball.
Drake thinks that he "bonded" with DDG despite beating the rapper and streamer in basketball.
The Michigan native was the latest guest on 360 With Speedy, and around the 28-minute mark of the video above, he recalled hooping with Drake two days after they met at a Beyoncé-hosted party. While DDG introduced himself as a fan of the "Nokia" artist, Drake knew who he was and invited him over for a one-on-one game.
"Then I went to go hoop with him and he was whooping my ass," DDG said. "And I was like, 'Damn'... 'Cause you got to think like–it didn't really feel competitive to me, it felt like, 'Nah, I'm just hooping against one of my favorite rappers.'"
But because Drizzy was "really taking it serious," DDG lost to the rapper twice. "Played them one-on-one two games, but he got a shot on him for sure." But DDG denied wanting to "be competitive" with Drake, simply wanting to "bond" with his "favorite artist." When host Speedy Morman asked if he thought they bonded, DDG laughed, saying, "Not really...I just lost. That was it, we never hooped again."
"If I would have won we would have been homies still," he continued.
"You know how bad that hurt? You ever lost in something and never got a rematch?" DDG asked. "I got my ass whooped and never seen him again."
While the game was about a year and a half ago, the 6 God remembered it fondly, responding to the segment on his Instagram Story on Friday (March 28). "😂😂😂😂😂 ddg too real We bonded in my opinion I dunno…"
The two may need to hit the court again, which DDG could possibly stream for his 3.1 million YouTube subscribers.
