Justin Bieber Fears Being 'Exposed' In 'Honest' Posts About Being 'Flawed'
The pop star continues to take accountability for saying things "that hurt others unintentionally."
Justin Bieber has been having some very honest conversations with himself, and he's now shared part of the dialogue with fans.
On Friday (May 9), the pop star pondered his flaws and mental health in a series of Instagram posts, where he maintained that he has selfish moments from time to time. In March, Bieber shared similar feelings, going as far as to say that he felt "like a fraud" and "unworthy."
In the first of his latest IG posts, he wrote: "The truth is, I wake up every morning. Some days I'm optimistic. Sometimes I wake up pessimistic."
He continued by writing that while he "can't control" how he'll feel, he would "blame God" subconsciously rather than ask for a "change of perspective."
"Once again it's Easier to point the finger than it is to take ownership," he wrote. "It's easy to say damn their [sic] greedy rather than to check the greed in their own hearts."
In his Instagram Stories, Bieber expressed concerns of being "exposed" if he reveals how "selfish" he is. But after sharing his fear, he ended on a positive note, writing: "But the more honest I am about where I really am, the more freedom I actually have."
Admitting that he's an "average flawed guy" who's "done things that have hurt others," Bieber also imparted wisdom on love.
"LOVE DRAWS US IN. LOVE DOESN'T CONDEMN. LOVE BELIEVES THE BEST. LOVE HOPES ALL THINGS. AND ENDURES ALL THINGS. IT DOESN'T KEEP RECORD OF WRONG. LOVE HELPS U TO FORGIVE AND LOVE EVEN YOUR ENEMIES," he wrote.
The "Sorry" singer also left an Instagram note, writing: "God uses the sneaky ones, not the holy ones. I'm the proof."
Bieber might be contemplative as a new father to his 8-month-old son, Jack Blues, whom he shares with wife Hailey Bieber. The Grammy-winner spent quality father-son time with Jack while watching a hockey match in a recent Instagram post.
Bieber's insights may also be the lead up to his upcoming seventh album, which fans predict is rap-focused.
