Rich Homie Quan's cause of death has been confirmed.

Just weeks after the rapper, whose real name is Dequantes Devontay Lamar, died at 34 years old, TMZ reported on Tuesday (October 1) that an accidental drug overdose was the cause of his death.

According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner, Quan was under the lethal combined effects of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine and promethazine. While a toxicology report found that THC was also in the "Song Cry" artist's system, the substance had no effect on the fatal drug mixture that killed him. The medical examiner's report also noted there were no apparent signs of trauma.

Quan was found unresponsive by his girlfriend, Amber Williams, in their Atlanta home on September 5th, and during a 911 call, Williams told the dispatcher that she didn't hear a heartbeat.

A memorial service for Quan was held in South Fulton, Georgia, on September 17, where he was also given the posthumous honor of 'Rich Homie Quan Day' in Atlanta. Individuals who spoke during the ceremony included Killer Mike and D.C. Young Fly.

"Y'all gave us an icon, y'all gave us a legend," the latter told Quan's surviving family members. "We're all on borrowed time. So the things that he accomplished while he was here we wanna let you know that we're gonna continue on his legacy, and even through the small amount of time he made a big impact."

Footage from the funeral can be seen in the "Song Cry" music video above.
