Rich Homie Quan's Girlfriend Says She's 'Traumatized,' Asks for 'Respect' in Message After Rapper's Death
“I have nothing to prove because my love for my other half was ALWAYS shown."
Rich Homie Quan’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, has shared a message to the public following the death of the rapper recently and the resulting controversy over his romantic partners.
She shared the message on her Instagram Story, detailing the heartbreak that she’s feeling and thanking everyone for their support. “The pain is unbearable,” wrote Williams. “The love you all have shown is an overflow. I truly appreciate everyone who’s reached out. I’m traumatized from a moment that’ll forever be in my head.”
“I have nothing to prove because my love for my other half was ALWAYS shown,” she continued. “I have nothing to hide. Please respect me and the family at this time.”
Following Quan’s death on Sept. 5, multiple women took to social media to share photos of them with the rapper and suggest that they had close relationships. “We know everything about each other,” wrote one woman, who’s Instagram handle is @biggbritt813. “Idc what nobody has to say you was my everything wah am I supposed to do.”
“Relationship or Not YOU WAS My Dawg before anything Dequantes get up man,” she continued. “Ion want no clout ion wanna be famous just call me & tell me this shit ain’t true please.”
On TikTok, another woman, with the handle @lilafromval posted about their friendship — but claimed that they weren’t romantically involved. “I lost a great friend today,” she wrote. “You’re gone but will never be forgotten.”
Perhaps the most popular of the women who came forth about how close they were to Quan was Erica Banks — a star on Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta and rapper who shared details about their alleged relationship shortly after his death.
“All you wanted was to find happiness again,” she wrote on Instagram. “I always saw it in your face and heard it in your voice.. But you had so much left to do. The album, the tour, your BIRTHDAY! I’m just glad we were able to enjoy such peaceful and memorable moments while you were here man.”
The Atlanta rapper was 33 years old at the time of his death. He received an outpouring of online messages and tributes after news broke of his death. Specifically, he was eulogized by his hip-hop peers, including Offset, Boosie Badazz, Jacquees, and more.
