DDG wants Larrance "Rance" Dopson, founder of live hip-hop band 1500 or Nothin', to teach him how to make beats.

During a recent livestream, DDG approached Rance while attending a party and told the bandleader and producer he had an idea. According to DDG, he wanted Rance to teach him how to make beats live on stream.

"I had an idea, bro; I want to learn how to make beats," said DDG. In return, Rance told him the 1500 crew has a school where kids can learn about producing. DDG expressed how much he wanted to be a part of that, ans said he wanted it to happen on an upcoming stream.

Rance liked the idea and told DDG it would take him at least a week to learn the basics and another seven days to be an actual producer. DDG was on board and explained he just needed to learn the beginner steps, with Rance telling him learning how to play the piano would change his life.

DDG will learn a boatload of information from Rance, who is also a four-time Grammy Award-winning producer and instrumentalist. He's spent over 20 years in the industry working with Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Cardi B and more.

Rance and James Fauntleroy co-founded the 1500 Sound Academy, where they take a hands-on approach to mentoring the next generation of creatives and helping shape the future of music.
