DDG Says He Would 'Go Broke ASAP' if He Stopped Working
The YouTuber and rapper previously claimed his net worth is "more" than the Google reported $8 million.
DDG recently got candid about the relatable burden of his financial obligations, saying he has no choice but to continue working because otherwise he would "go broke ASAP."
The rapper and YouTuber confessed he needs to make money in order to pay his high cost of living, which includes bills and family expenses.
"I have to make money. Bills are high," DDG said. "Did I tell you how much my bills is a month? N***a, my bills high as shit. If I don't work, I'ma go broke ASAP."
"Like, I have to work. I don't have a choice," he continued. "It ain't 'bout me trying to pocket some money. I have multiple homes, multiple cars. I have family. I have a child. I spend a lot of money."
DDG told Speedy Morman on Complex's 360 With Speedy earlier this year that Google was "not accurate" with his reported net worth of $8 million. The 27-year-old joked the figure was "$80 million off" before telling Speedy, "I'm a Libra though. [We] be lying and shit."
In an interview with Got Sole that same month, DDG denied being worth a reported $8 million, claiming it was "more" than that.
While living with financial constraints is something people can understand, many people could not rationalize why DDG surprised his son with a Ferrari on his first birthday.
"But I'm up & u not," he wrote in response to someone criticizing him.
