Drake Confirms He’s ‘Working On’ New Album ‘Iceman’: ‘We Got a Lot to Talk About’
Drake has already spoken about former friends who betrayed him on the album’s first offering, "What Did I Miss?"
Drake has claimed that there's a lot he needs to get off his chest on his upcoming album, ICEMAN.
During a tour stop in Birmingham, England, the Canadian superstar took a moment mid-show to speak directly to fans about what he's been cooking up. In a fan-captured clip shared on social media, Drake made it clear that he's in album mode and some pressing matters need to be addressed on said project.
"You know I'm working on my album Iceman. We got a lot to talk about, so I'm looking forward to it," Drake told the crowd, teasing just enough to get them riled up.
This isn't the first time Drizzy has hinted at working on the highly anticipated project. Back in February, while performing in Australia, Drake laid the groundwork for what fans can expect from this next chapter in his discography.
"And you know, eventually, when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself, is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y'all. When the time is right, I'll be back with another album, a one-on-one conversation with y'all that you need to hear," he said.
While there's still no official release date or tracklist for ICEMAN, Drake dropped "What Did I Miss?" earlier this month and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track finds Drake opening up about recent tensions, especially addressing those who distanced themselves during his high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar.
