Gorilla Nems Links Up for Hookah and a Meal With NYC Mayor Eric Adams: ‘Late Night Power Meetings’

New York City Mayor Eric Adams was recently photographed smoking hookah with Gorilla Nems.

Earlier this week, Nems shared a photo on his Instagram of himself hanging with Mayor Adams in Coney Island. The two appeared to be having dinner, and Mayor Adams posed for the photo while indulging in hookah.

In the caption, the Brooklyn-based artist wrote: "Late night power meetings. #MayorToMayor@nycmayor.”

Mayor Adams' latest outing comes after he was seen attending an event at Republica Restaurant & Rooftop in the Dyckman neighborhood of Manhattan. Footage from the event showed Mayor Adams dancing with a woman while a live merengue band was playing in the background.

The footage had some New Yorkers even more upset with the Mayor, who has been rubbing people the wrong way with his multiple public outings and legal issues. Another one of those incidents includes Adams referring to an old girlfriend as a "shorty" during a town meeting.

Mayor Adams was indicted last year on five counts of bribery, conspiracy, and campaign finance violations. However, in April, a judge ruled that Mayor Adams' federal corruption case had been dismissed with prejudice.

"As I've said all along, this case should have never been brought and I did nothing wrong," Adams said in a statement. "I am now happy that our city can finally close the book and focus solely on the future of our great city. I want to thank New Yorkers who stood by my side, who prayed for me, who supported me from day one, and stuck with me while we focused on the work at hand."
