Tina Knowles Says She's Dating a 'Gentleman' Following Divorce

Tina Knowles has revealed she is dating a new man two years after her divorce from Richard Lawson.

In a new interview with People, Knowles spoke about jumping back into the dating scene while admitting she's seeing someone who has been a complete "gentleman" to her.

"I am spending time with a friend," Knowles confirmed while adding that the person is a "very nice gentleman" and that she's waiting to "see what happens" between them. Knowles also highlighted how she's stepping back out in all her glory.

"Just getting all dressed up and done up, makeup, hair. You know, putting on something that fits well," she said. "It's fun looking sexy. It makes me feel sexy."

In her new book titled Matriarch, Knowles addresses her split from Lawson, explaining how difficult it was to leave him while adding that she did it without any ill will.

"Love is patient, love is kind. Love is also not a competition or mired in jealousy. I made the decision to divorce with a heavy heart but totally without malice, and I have not lost a night of sleep over it," she writes in the memoir.

She also spoke about her marriage to Beyoncé and Solange Knowles's dad, Mathew Knowles, and his infidelity throughout their union. Tina and Mathew were married for 31 years before splitting in 2011.

"I was caught in this dance with him, each doing the same steps over and over: He would cheat or act up, and I would say I'd had enough," she explains "He would beg for forgiveness, crying and promising to get better... But this is what married people did, I told myself."

Knowles was married to Lawson, but their relationship ended in a divorce in 2023 over irreconcilable differences.
