Tyler, The Creator to Release New Album 'Don't Tap the Glass' on Monday

Tyler, The Creator is following up his much-praised turn on the new Clipse album with something way bigger: a whole new project.
The Odd Future founder has spent the past several days teasing that something big was coming on July 21, but didn't specify what it was. But on Friday (July 18), fans finally got confirmation: it's a new album, Don't Tap the Glass.
Outside of Brooklyn's Barclays Center, where Tyler was performing that evening, there was an installation featuring large Tyler-esque figure in a box, which was emblazoned with that phrase.
During the show itself, Tyler reportedly announced the album's title. And that same evening, the rapper's Golf Wang website updated, with the album now available for purchase on LP and CD, in a variety of packages that include hats and t-shirts. There is also a separate album website that links to the aforementioned Golf Wang packages.
Don't Tap the Glass follows Tyler's Chromakopia, which came out in the fall of 2024. Complex's Matthew Ritchie called that project "Tyler’s most strikingly introspective piece of work to date... [A] varied concept album that’s more effective than not."
"At its core, CHROMAKOPIA feels like a jumbled portrait of a man going through some things," Ritchie wrote. "It’s self-confrontational in ways that Tyler hasn’t shown before, feeling like a superstar taking stock of all his possessions earned and not finding much past his artistic brilliance."
