Lil Yachty Urges Concertgoer to 'Shut the F*ck Up' After Ruining Juice WRLD Moment of Silence
Concert etiquette is at an all-time low.
A concertgoer who couldn’t be bothered to simply shut the fuck up got what was coming to them during a recent stop on Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia: The World Tour featuring Lil Yachty and Paris Texas. For those blissfully unaware of the practice of being incapable of not shutting the fuck up, here’s a quick summary of how that usually goes in a concert setting: During a pivotal moment in an artist’s set, the shutting-the-fuck-up refuser blurts out all manner of nonsense, presumably in a pitiful act of garnering attention at any cost.
This behavior appeared to be on full display in the crowd at the Washington D.C. stop on Tyler’s tour, with a would-be moment of silence in honor of the late Juice WRLD, who died in 2019, shown in a TikTok video being ruined by shouting.
“Shut the fuck up!” Yachty yells at the interruptor at one point, then urging production staff to “turn the lights on” so he can see who was responsible. From there, Yachty invited the rest of the audience to join him in booing the person.
“You like it too,” Yachty said after successfully getting the individual booed “You like rejection.”
While Yachty initially pondered redoing the moment of silence, he ultimately opted against it due to the likelihood that the interruptor would simply repeat their nonsense.
As TMZ pointed out in their coverage, this isn’t the first would-be moment of silence to be botched by a shouting moron on the tour. A prior clip, seen here, saw Yachty expressing similar frustrations while questioning that particular interruptor’s ability to comprehend the meaning of the phrase “moment of silence.”
The Tyler-headlined tour will next hit Antwerp, Paris, Assago, and elsewhere as it continues its months-spanning run through September. Amid the tour, Yachty has dropped off several new tracks, including, most recently, the excellent “Can’t Be Crete Boy” with Veeze.
