Stop Asking Tyler, The Creator 'Weird-Ass Questions' When You See Him
"Are you a cop?" Tyler said of those who insist on asking him "weird-ass questions" when spotting him out in public.
The “weird-ass questions” have to stop.
Tyler, The Creator kicked off the week with a plea aimed at inquiries of the “weird-ass” variety, specifically taking issue with those who approach him in public, only to then proceed to pry about his plans for the day and/or his living situation.
“Yo when you see me don’t be asking questions like ‘why are you here in a major city..... are you renting a house here...where you going’ like n***a I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND, are you a cop?” Tyler said in an X update. “Weird ass questions... say hi blah blah and keep it moving so i can finish my walk lol.”
The plea for “weird ass questions” to cease comes amid Tyler’s Chromakopia: The World Tour, which recently wrapped a six-night stint at the Crypto Arena (f.k.a. the Staples Center) in Los Angeles. The Chromakopia-supporting run, featuring special guests Lil Yachty and Paris Texas, is currently slated to keep Tyler and company on the road through early September.
Among Tyler’s past advice to fans is his rundown of the best way to take in Chromakopia, with the two-time Grammy winner cautioning against letting the “distractions” of modern life sully one’s initial listening experience. He’s also told fans to “stop throwing your shit” on the stage while he’s performing, as well as directed them to go deep on the songbook of the incomparable Missy Elliott.
Seemingly imminent is the official video for Chromakopia track “Sticky” featuring GloRilla, Sexyy Red, and Lil Wayne. In January, Tyler shared a minute-long preview of the video. See that below.
