Coachella goers were in for an explosive surprise when a rogue firework flew into a crowd of people and set a nearby palm tree on fire.

The wild moment came Saturday night during Green Day’s set at Coachella. As Green Day ended their performance, fireworks were set off into the air.

While most of them exploded away from the festival’s attendees, footage captured by one concertgoer shows chaos unfolding after one firework flew nearby into a crowd.

“A firework just exploded next to me and all my friends at Coachella,” the user said on X. “I can’t hear out of my right ear, multiple people hurt. That was fucking insane, I thought it was a terrorist attack.”

In other unexpected Coachella moments, Flavor Flav joined Yo Gabba Gabba onstage to sing about bugs, Missy Elliot came out in a Transformers-style costume, and Yeat covered Drake's "Feel No Ways."

Meanwhile, Sen. Bernie Sanders made a surprise appearance at the festival and gave a powerful warning about President Donald Trump in a speech onstage.

“[Trump] thinks that climate change is a hoax. He’s dangerously wrong,” Sanders warned. “And you and I are going to have to stand up to the fossil fuel industry and tell them to stop destroying this planet.”

Sanders also addressed the current state of economy and healthcare in his address to the crowd.

“We have an economy today that is working very well for the billionaire class, but not for working families,” Sanders said. He also called for the audience “to stand up to the insurance companies and the drug companies and understand that healthcare is a human right.”
