"Don't let relationships get in the way of your creativity.”

Bia revealed in a recent stream with DDG that the rapper's ex prevented him from releasing their collaboration.

DDG was recently on a live stream with Bia, previewing an unreleased track that the two share together, when Bia suggested that the reason it never came out was because of his ex-partner.

“He didn’t put it out because he was in a relationship and the person that he was with didn’t want him to put it out,” said Bia. “Moral of the story, don’t let relationships get in the way of your creativity.” It’s unclear who the ex is, as he’s been romantically linked to both Halle Bailey and Rubi Rose.

DDG, with Bia and Lakeyah, then played the unreleased collab during his stream. A clip of the song can be heard below.

DDG has been having parental issues with Bailey lately. Earlier this month, DDG released a song about the visitation problems that he’s having with her about their son, Halo.

On the track “Don’t Take My Son,” DDG addresses Bailey with the plea to see his kid. “Don’t take my son because he’s all I got/I’m just having fun, I don’t love these thots” he sings on the chorus.

DDG also uses the song to let Bailey know that he doesn't want to have to pay to see his son. “Tryna make me pay to see my son, that’s gonna make me hot,” he sings, before later on saying, “It’s not about the money, it’s more about the principle, you know I’m rich.”

The rapper released another video shortly after the song, explaining his final thoughts on the situation. “I just don’t want it to come to the point where he’s like, ‘my pops ain’t around’ and that’s my main thing,” DDG says.

Before dropping the song, DDG released a vlog titled “She Won’t Let Me See My Son” in which he outlined the issues that the two had been having.

"Like, I don't care if this makes me look childish, If I look like I'm on the internet crazy, whatever–I don't care, bro,” said DDG. “I don't care what nobody thinks. I literally just want to be in my son's life."
