Lil Yachty Sends Special End-of-Tour Message to Tyler, The Creator: 'All In All, I'm Grateful'

Lil Yachty penned a touching tribute message to Tyler, The Creator, thanking him for being “one of the few mentors” in his life.

With the current leg of Tyler’s Chromakopia World Tour winding down, Yachty is getting ready to be finished with it as a supporting act. In honor of this, Lil Boat hopped on Instagram to thank Tyler for everything the Don't Tap the Glass artist has done for him.

“Last leg of this tour for me and I just want to take the time to thank you for your friendship, thanking you for giving me the praises i needed to push me on and holding me accountable when i do some / ignorant shit,” wrote Yachty. “All in all, i’m grateful.”

Accompanied by a picture showing the two hanging out in traffic, Yachty explained why he considers Tyler a mentor. “1 of the few mentors i have, always held me accountable, always challenged me,” wrote Yachty. “Forever grateful.”

“Young men need mentors. Need a line of proper guidance,” Yachty continued. “Thanks Tyyytyyy.”

Earlier this year, Lil Yachty sang Tyler’s praises during a Chromakopia World Tour set. He took the chance to address the crowd, saying, “I want to show my appreciation to my big brother, Tyler, The Creator. That man is a genius. He’s paved the way. We might not see another creative like him for 20, 30, even 100 years. I just want to make sure I give him his flowers—he’s special.”

Lil Yachty’s been big on his appreciation for Tyler for years. In 2023, he revealed that he wants to work with Tyler on something of a bigger scope than their previous collaborations.

“I would love to make a whole album with Tyler. That’d be tight,” he revealed to Billboard. “I just think we could make something really special.”
