Tommy Richman has dropped his debut album — and it doesn’t even include his breakout hit “Million Dollar Baby.”

The singer’s new project Coyote is out today (Sept. 27), and the 11-track project, featuring the previously released songs “Thought You Were the One” and “Whitney,” doesn’t include the song that has made him become a household name.

“Million Dollar Baby” became the song of the summer a couple of months ago after it was immediately cosigned by the music industry after its official release. It has spent 21 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot R&B songs chart and also spent two weeks at the top of the Billboard Global 200.

Although everyone loved the song when it dropped, radio personality Funk Flex called the song “hot garbage.” “If you’re someone that likes this song you are a clown,” he said.

When Richman dropped his follow-up song “Devil Is a Lie,” soon after, Flex changed his tune completely. "NEW TOMMY RICHMAN IN 5MIN! ... (I LIKE THIS SONG)," he wrote on X.

Richman, sure of himself, wrote that he went “2 for 2” with the release of “Devil Is A Lie” — responding to a fan who suggested that he was a one hit wonder.

For those that think Richman just popped up out of nowhere, that’s quite the contrary — he’s been making music for nearly 10 years. After spending some time posting songs on SoundCloud and Spotify as early as 2016, Richman caught the ear of Brent Faiyaz who signed him and took him on the road.

Earlier this year, Complex named Richman as one of our R&B Artists to Watch.

Last month, Richman responded to Joe Budden claiming that he doesn’t like his music. In a clip from the Joe Budden podcast, the popular cultural commentator announced that he never wanted to hear Richman sing again. He then mimicked the way that “Million Dollar Baby” sounds.”

Instead of making a big deal of it, Richman wrote on X, “Funny that they ain’t even hear the album yet.”

Now’s the chance, Joe.
