UPDATED 4/20, 8:05 p.m. ET: Tyla took to X to clarify that her Coachella outfit wasn't inspired by Britney Spears after all. "Love her but I just thought the outfit was fly ... no inspo," she tweeted, per The Shade room. Tyla also responded to an X user who called her a "copycat," and said she's "too full of herself."

"Personally I think you should STFU," Tyla wrote.

See original story below.

Tyla seemingly paid homage to pop legend Britney Spears with her Coachella outfit. For her performance during the second weekend of Coachella, Tyla hit the Outdoor Stage at the festival rounds wearing a getup similar to one of Spears’ most iconic looks.

Tyla's take consisted of a green and purple bra top, and bedazzled low-rise jean shorts. Instead of a snake around her neck a la Spears, she wore zebra-print booties (which she later changed for crocodile-style knee high boots).

Spears sported the original version of this outfit at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, where she shocked the audience during a performance of "I'm a Slave 4 U" by wearing the massive snake around her shoulders like an accessory.

Tyla’s legendary outfit wasn’t the only recent surprise at this year’s Coachella. Ty Dolla Sign had his big brother, Big TC, who’s currently incarcerated, perform in his Coachella set.

During his performance, Ty took a moment to play a video of his brother singing while a live choir group added vocals to his. Ty played Big TC’s vocals on a giant screen so that his vocals could be heard through the entire Coachella crowd.

Off the stage, Travis Scott took over Coachella by creating his own mini-city on the festival grounds. In an area called Cactus Village, Scott brought his wildest ideas to life. There were giant statues, a Vetements tattoo station, a Nike soccer arena, and even several surprise celebrity appearances.

In our recent cover story with him, Scott hinted at what he wanted to accomplish at Coachella.

“I’m taking Coachella over through my lens,” said Scott. "I’m trying to create a next-level way to do things.”

Joining Scott in his mini-city was Jake from State Farm, of all people. Instead of his signature red polo, Jake rocked a custom varsity jacket that Scott and his Cactus Jack scene designed themselves.
