Mo'Nique on Tiffany Haddish's Netflix Deal: 'I'm Proud of You'
The legendary comedian is continuing her boycott against the streaming service.
As Mo’Nique’s boycott against Netflix continues, comedian Tiffany Haddish reminded everyone that she previously inked her own deal with the streaming service. The Girls Trip star shared the news on Twitter after being dragged into the boycott conversation by a fan, as pointed out by Page Six.
Haddish responded, explaining that she'd already signed a deal before Mo’Nique's boycott began last month.

Mo’Nique then responded to Haddish's tweet glowingly, saying that she’s proud of the comedian.
Mo’Nique previously mentioned Haddish in an interview withSway in the Morning. “I couldn’t accept that low offer, because if I did…I couldn’t sleep at night,” she said. “I say this humbly: I am the most decorated comedian alive. But if I accepted $500,000, what does Tiffany Haddish have coming? If I accept that, what does the black female comedian have coming? Because what they’ll say is, ‘Mo’Nique accepted this and she’s got that.’ So what do they have coming?”
The legendary comedian’s boycott began back in January after Netflix offered her $500,000 for a special, compared to the millions given to Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Amy Schumer. Mo’Nique is accusing the streaming service of racial and gender bias, and has been supported by a few fellow celebs including Chance the Rapper and Jada Pinkett Smith. She’s also gained some critics, including Charlamagne Tha God.
Haddish is going to be the lead voice actor in a new Netflix animated comedy from the creators Bojack Horseman. The series titled Tuca & Bertie doesn't have a release date yet, but received the greenlight for a 10-episode premiere.
