‘Hawk Tuah’ Video Creators on Haliey Welch Refusing to Thank Them: 'Changed This Broke N***a Life!'
Tim & Dee TV, who uploaded the infamous video, previously claimed they were ghosted by Welch after reaching out to collaborate.
Tim and Dee TV, the creators behind the viral Hawk Tuah video, are responding after the video’s star, Haliey Welch, said she has no intention of thanking them for her newfound fame.
Through their official X account, Tim & Dee responded to the Bobby Bones Show interview clip on Tuesday with a reaction meme that reads, “We changed this broke n***a life!”
The duo then debunked Welch’s side of the story in follow-up posts, claiming that Welch and her friend “literally asked for a spicy question” and that they asked multiple times “to post the video.”
“People be wanting their lil 15min fame but now its a problem? Playin victim. She Not a victim she a volunteer nobody forced that bih to be there,” read a post from their account. Tim & Dee also said they will be uploading a “more detailed video” on their YouTube channel in the future speaking about the situation.
The tension between the social media personalities and Welch seems to have reached a new peak after a clip of an interview Welch gave to the Bobby Bones Show in July resurfaced online. At the 16:20 mark here, the country radio show’s co-host Lunchbox asks Welch if she ever thanked Tim and Dee TV for making her famous.
“Tell them ‘thank you’ for what?” Welch responded. “We reached out to them and I asked him to stop posting those videos and he never did. He blocked us all on everything. I’m not telling him thank you for anything.”
Welch then agreed with co-host Amy Brown that she wanted the whole ordeal to “go away” but simply explored opportunities because they allegedly wouldn’t stop re-uploading the footage against her wishes.
When speaking to the New York Times in an article published in July of 2024, Tim and Dee TV recalled trying to get in touch with Welch for a collaboration but ended up communicating with her lawyer instead.
As you might recall, Tim and Dee TV encountered Welch on the streets of Nashville and interviewed her. When asked about a move that would make a man go crazy in bed, Welch responded and her answer quickly became an online sensation.
