Tisha Campbell Got a ‘Mommy Makeover’: ‘It’s Not for Everyone, But It Helped Me’

The actress shared her personal reasons for undergoing plastic surgery.

Tisha Campbell says she recently had a “mommy makeover.”

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the 2025 BET Awards red carpet, the 56-year-old actress opened up about her recent cosmetic surgeries.

“For those who don't know, I recently got plastic surgery,” she told ET at the two-minute, 49-second mark in the video linked above. “It was a mommy makeover. I had extra skin from the baby and a little bit of droppage here and a little droppage there, and they tightened me together.”

Campbell shared that while working on the Ms. Pat Show alongside Taj and LeLee from SWV, they had conversations about the makeover.

“I convinced them to call the doctors, and they wanted mommy makeovers too. And I just feel like, you know, we should be feeling good about ourselves, you know?” she said. “I'm a single mom—not ready for dating, but I just wanted to feel good for me and that's what this was allowing me to have: just to feel good about me and I wanted them to feel good too.”

“So I just said ‘here's the number,’ and they called so I'm happy for them,” she added.

The ET reporter brought up the growing trend of celebrities being transparent about their cosmetic work while pointing to Kylie Jenner, who recently revealed her exact breast implant order and even named her surgeon.

“She look good,” Campbell said of Jenner.

Campbell was then asked why it was important for her to share the news of her procedures publicly.

“First of all, I’m an open book. Second, I just think it's more important for people to know why one does it: if you want to feel good about you,” she said. “Like I said, I had a lot of extra skin from the babies, and I wanted to just be honest about it.”

She continued, “I think it's more important to be honest to know that, you know, I didn't get all this by myself … I'm not showing it off, but it's nice to be a little bit more snatched around that area for me. It's not for everybody, but it was for me.”

Campbell shares two sons, Xen Whaheed, 23, and Ezekiel Czar, 15, with her ex-husband Duane Martin, whom she was married to from 1996 to 2020.
