Funny Marco Says Bobbi Althoff ‘Was Stiff a Little Bit’ While Explaining Why He Canceled Comedy Tour With Her
The comedian said that he still has love for Bobbi, but the tour just wasn't working out.
In a video shared on YouTube, comedian Funny Marco explained why he prematurely pulled the plug on his comedy tour with TikTok star and podcaster Bobbi Althoff.
“I love Bobbi to death, Bobbi is a good person," Funny Marco said in the video, in which he also showed off the progress on the swimming pool in his backyard. "I feel like everybody good, let's be real. I don’t have shit bad to say about nobody. But when people pay their hard-working money, I really really care about that. So when I’m on [ a]stand-up tour, and I’m selling out these tours, and then me and Bobbi being able to come together and people are paying their money to come see us, I really want that to get better. I don't want it to be the same."
Funny Marco suggested that he has a lot more experience doing stand-up than Althoff, who he thought had some ways to go in figuring out her stage presence. "It's not the same thing that you get on Instagram," he said. "I feel like Bobbi was stiff a little bit."
He said he hired writers for her, but ultimately that didn't work out, either.
"She told me, 'That's not me... My comedy is me not talking a lot,'" he continued. "I'm like, 'Shit, this is different, you could do that on the podcast but in real life this is different.' So her comedy was different from what she wanted to bring to the show, which I can respect. What I'm saying there's not nothing about me getting mad, I'm not saying you doing nothing wrong, I just don't agree with it. Same way she probably don't agree with what I do."
Marco added that it was "hurting" him because people were paying their hard-earned money but Althoff did the same awkward persona she does on the Really Good Podcast, which didn't gel with his style of comedy.

Bobbi Althoff Denies Copying Funny Marco in New Interview: ‘I Had Never Seen You At All’
"I wanted it to get better but Bobbi was just in her ways of doing it how she want to do it, and I was in my ways to do it how I want to do it," he said. "I wanted more out of Bobbi. I wanted her to dance more, I wanted her to talk [more]. Hey, believe it or not, a lot of people was coming to see her, so like, her fanbase is big. ... As much as I'm selling out on tour, a lot of people was coming to see her. So, that was a beautiful thing."
Althoff and Funny Marco both gained a lot of attention last year for their interviews with celebrities, which both usually involved trolling the interview subject in some form. He was among the first guests on her Really Good Podcast, and she showed up on his series Open Thoughts in March.
