In his unhinged interview with DJ Akademiks, the artist formerly known as Kanye West claimed that he never wanted to have children with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

Dressed in a black Ku Klux Klan-style robe and hood, Ye spoke about the increasingly bitter custody situation with Kim, with whom he shares four children. "The situation with Kim, I hear you speak about her a lot," DJ Akademiks said at one point in the bizarre interview. "You said nobody really spoke on your behalf. ... But some people will be like, 'You picked her, you put yourself in that situation.' They are saying that you don't take accountability."

Ye responded, "No, that was my fault. I take it." He then claimed that he knew early on he didn't want children with her. "I didn't want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her," he said. "But that wasn't God's plan."

Kim has four children with Kanye; 11-year-old North, 9-year-old Saint, 7-year-old Chicago, and 5-year-old Psalm. They've had a co-parenting situation ever since they separated, but as Ye has continued to embrace extremist views, custody has been called into question.

Elsewhere in the chat with Akademiks, Ye once again attempted to provoke Kendrick Lamar by suggesting he "has no hits." He said that Drake is "a million times better than Kendrick and a million times more important," and said that Kendrick's 2022 album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is a “direct copy” of his own The Life of Pablo from 2016.
