Jackée Harry marked her 69th birthday with the kind of wink that made her a TV staple.

Posting to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 14, the actress wrote, “69 and still fine! ✨ I thought I’d be in San Diego by now – retired, cocktail in hand, cabana boy on call. But child… I’m still here, still laughing, still blessed to do what I love and call it work. Now THAT’S the real happy hour. Thanks for all the birthday wishes and continued support! Luv ya much!!! 💖.”

The comments filled quickly with shout-outs from friends and collaborators. Her former Sister, Sister costar Tim Reid told her, “Happy Bornday to this talented and wonderful woman who always challenged me to be a better performer. Love you madly.”

Tamera Mowry-Housley added, “Happy birthday Jackee!!!!” Wanda Sykes wrote, “Happy Birthday! They keep calling, cause you keep hitting it out the park!” and Vivica A. Fox chimed in, “Happy Blessed Birthday BEAUTIFUL QUEEN! #LifeIsGood #LeoNation.” Loretta Devine and Tami Roman also sent birthday love.

Those well-wishes align with a career that has remained visible across eras. For ’90s kids, Jackée Harry is synonymous with Sister, Sister, where she appeared alongside Reid and Mowry-Housley. She’s also kept a steady profile in daytime with Days of Our Lives. Recent public appearances underscore that consistency: she attended the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards on June 7, 2024, and took part in Project Angel Food’s Lead With Love fifth anniversary special later that month.

Speaking to PEOPLE in 2024 about her personal life, she kept it simple: “Yes, it’s gotten better. Yes, keep hope alive.”

She expanded on that mindset in the same interview: “I’m learning to put my personal happiness in front of my career. That’s the most important thing that’s happened to me,” adding, “That’s my advice to young people, your personal happiness is important; put it ahead of your career, if you can. But if I had to do it again, I would still do it the same.”
