Cassie Says Diddy Accused Her of Having an Affair With Michael B. Jordan When They Were Broken Up

Diddy thought Cassie Ventura was having an affair Michael B. Jordan in 2015.

The claim came up during Cassie’s cross-examination by Diddy’s lawyer, Anna Estevao, on Thursday. The defense attorney asked the singer if Diddy “suspected” she and MBJ had an affair after they broke up, while she was filming Honey 3: Dare to Dance in South Africa.

“Mr. Combs suspected you of [having] a relationship with whom?” Estevao asked, to which Cassie responded, “Michael B. Jordan," according to trial transcripts shared by Inner City Press reporter Matthew Russell Lee.

According to the BBC, the exes split after Cassie saw a photo of Diddy with a woman named Gina, whom he had previously told Ventura he wasn’t dating. Ventura then cut off communication with Diddy and started dating Jordan soon after.

Jordan’s name first came up when Venture referred to an unidentified “actor” in her 2023 civil lawsuit against Diddy, which she revealed during testimony was settled for $20 million within 24 hours of filing.

In Ventura’s complaint, she started a “flirtation relationship with an actor” in 2015. She claimed she spent New Year's Eve with Jordan, and when Combs found out, he allegedly “called the actor and threatened him.”

Infidelity and jealousy appeared to be a constant during Cassie and Diddy’s decade-long relationship. Prior to Estevao’s line of questioning about Jordan, the attorney asked Ventura about her relationship with Kid Cudi. Cassie explained that she was seeing Cudi while on a break from Diddy.

“This came up later in your relationship, that you had cheated on him with Kid Cudi?” Estevao asked, to which Ventura responded, “He brought it up quite a bit.”

“When he cheated, he said, ‘Well, you had an affair with Kid Cudi,’ right?” Estevao asked next. “Sometimes,” Ventura said.

Cassie and Cudi had a “brief” relationship in 2011. Diddy became upset when he found out and threatened to “blow up” Cudi’s car, and rumors of the incident circulated in 2012. None of the involved parties corroborated the incident until Cassie’s 2023 filing, which revealed that Cudi’s “car exploded in his driveway.” In November 2023, a spokesperson for Cudi confirmed her account of the alleged car explosion, telling the New York Times it was “true.”

On Wednesday, Ventura reiterated that Diddy "wanted Scott's friends to see Scott's car blown up.” She also detailed the abuse she endured after Diddy found out about her relationship with Cudi.
