UPDATED 7/24, 10:55 p.m. ET: MrBeast weighed in on the "serious allegations" on Wednesday night, explaining that he's spent the last few days "hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts."

MrBeast added that he's "disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts" and has already "seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast."

Here's the 26-year-old's statement in full:

"Over the last few days, I’ve become aware of the serious allegations of Ava Tyson's behavior online and I am disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts. During that time, I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts. That said, I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions. I will allow the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will take any further actions based on their findings."

Former MrBeast regular Ava Kris Tyson announced that she plans to "permanently step away from all things MrBeast" following recent accusations of "grooming" a minor, while her alleged victim has refuted the claims.

Accusations against Tyson, who is a longtime friend and once frequent collaborator of Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson, first surfaced on June 13 after the account Prism42 uploaded an almost 45-minute video detailing alleged evidence.

In the video, Prism42 calls attention to interactions between Tyson and a now 20-year-old video editor named Lava, including one instance where Lava asked Tyson about her "hentai addiction" on X/Twitter in February 2018. The allegation of "grooming" has since been picked up by other YouTubers and creators on TikTok, with people pointing to their friendship beginning when Tyson was almost 23 and Lava was 15, after the latter won a MrBeast giveaway. Reportedly, Lava and Tyson used to hang out together in Discord servers and various other public group chats, where Tyson would share messages bordering on inappropriate, including an alleged Snapchat Tyson sent to Lava of her face with the text "Cumming for America," among others.

After the allegations against Tyson gained traction online, Drama Alert YouTuber Daniel "Keemstar" Keem shared on X that he had contacted Lava himself, who said that he "was not groomed by Kris Tyson" and "did not meet Kris Tyson by [himself]," explaining that Lava's family was present when he hung out with MrBeast and Tyson in person.

Lava also responded directly to the accusations against Tyson on X, writing "these videos are massive lies and twisting the truth. Ava never did anything wrong and just made a few edgy jokes."

"Can you do me a favor and comment on these videos and tell them to stop spreading lies," Lava asked of folks online. "This situation takes away from children who are actively being exploited everyday online. I am not a victim of anything being claimed in these videos or at all."

Tyson hasn't responded directly to the allegations of "grooming," but shared a post following the accusations on July 23 stating that she would be "permanently" stepping away from MrBeast's show and social media.

"I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone. It was not my intent," Tyson wrote on X. "Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health."

Previously one of the more prominent faces in MrBeast’s content, appearing in almost every video until roughly a year ago, Ava Kris Tyson came out as trans in July 2023 on YouTuber Anthony Padilla's channel.

Just last month, MrBeast defended Tyson when streamer Nickmercs said that she "should be ashamed."

Complex has reached out to Lava, MrBeast, and Tyson for comment. This story may be updated.
