After multiple film roles, ASAP Rocky seeks to be cast in an iconic franchise: James Bond.

The rapper-actor, who will star in Spike Lee-directed thriller Highest 2 Lowest, discussed his hopes to have a shot for the fictional secret service agent in a new Variety interview. Those who've played Bond include Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan and the late Sean Connery, which would make Rocky the first Black bond if cast.

In the Variety interview, Rocky discussed the action sequences of Highest 2 Lowest, saying that he was on his "Black Tom Cruise shit."

When asked about being in an action flick, Rocky didn't hesitate. "I think I need to be the new Black James Bond. Like, why not?" he said. "If we hit the gym, I’ma be aight. Right now I’m in dad mode; you’re gonna have to give me a couple months."

After Highest, Rocky will next star in dramedy If I Had Legs I'd Kick You. He's also slated to release his long-awaited fourth album, Don't Be Dumb.

Elsewhere in the interview, Pretty Flacko recalled his "trash" audition for the Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story and gave props to Donald Glover for nailing the role.

"My man Childish Gambino [Donald Glover] was a way better Lando than I would've provided at that time. And I think he looked a little more like [Billy Dee Williams] than me," Rocky admitted.
