Julia Fox Says She Had Plastic Surgery to Appeal to Men, Wishes She Could 'Go Back'

Julia Fox says she regrets undergoing cosmetic procedures to appeal to men.

Fox, 35, who stars in upcoming psychological thriller Him, spoke to Allure for the magazine's August cover story and was upfront about her surgical enhancements.

Among them are liposuction, rhinoplasty, and veneers, but the entertainer doesn't plan on going back to the surgeon's office anytime soon.

"It's super important when you become famous or a public figure to be transparent," she told the publication.

"Now, when I see someone and I can tell they've never done anything … I wish I could go back and be that person," Fox continued. "I was so hung up on this idea that I needed to be attractive to men so that I could survive."

The Uncut Gems star shares a 4-year-old son, Valentino, with pilot Peter Artemiev, to whom she was married from 2018 to 2020. Fox also had a brief fling with the artist formerly known as Kanye West in 2022.

Fox added that she "probably will" have surgery again but that it isn't a priority now. The actress admitted that "feeling old" was a greater fear than physically aging.

"That's what I think I'm the most scared of, feeling old, and there are times where I feel old … Tired, over it, disillusioned," she said. "“When you're young and hot, it’s like that's your identity. Then you're like, shit, I need to stay young and hot."

During a chat with People in June, Fox praised the "new wave of women" for being outspoken about having plastic surgery.

"Women set the bar for each other, and I feel like if you're setting an unrealistic bar [if you're not honest]," Fox told the outlet. "That's really great for you, but what about all the girls that are so impressionable and feeling like, 'Wait, why don't I look like that and what's wrong with me?'"
